Police in Atlanta responded to the W Atlanta Midtown hotel in the early hours of Wednesday morning after reports of shots fired. A suspect had barricaded himself in a room on the 20th floor of the building. Guests at the hotel were evacuated as police attempted negotiation with the suspect.

SWAT team deployed as negotiations stalled
