Putin reminds of tax deductions for TRP and medical checkups

At an expanded meeting of the Board of Directors of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to prepare proposals on the possibility of a one-time payment to Russian families with children for the new school year.
He stressed that the authorities will use all instruments to develop the economy and improve the well-being of citizens.
"The government needs to prepare proposals on the possibility of a one-time payment to families with children for the new school year, as we did last year," Putin said.
In addition, the President instructed the government to develop measures to increase the minimum wage, and to index insurance premiums for working pensioners by 10% from January 1, 2023.
He also said that the task of reducing poverty in the country remains a priority, and noted that measures of support for families with children, low-income citizens and pensioners should be strengthened.
Putin supported the proposal of the RSPP to extend the tax deduction for expenses on sports and medical examinations. Now this deduction can be used not only by the taxpayer himself, but also by his spouse, children and parents.
The President noted that from 2019 to 2021, about 6.5 million Russians used the tax deduction for expenses on sports and medical examinations. He instructed the government to develop new proposals to expand tax incentives for citizens who lead a healthy lifestyle.
The head of state emphasized that the authorities will continue to take measures to develop the economy and improve the well-being of citizens.
Earlier, the Ministry of Finance reported that from 2019 to 2021, about 6.5 million Russians used the tax deduction for expenses on sports and medical examinations. The total amount of tax refunds amounted to about 150 billion rubles.
