Utah Jazz fire head coach Quin Snyder after eight seasons

The Utah Jazz have fired head coach Quin Snyder after eight seasons, the team announced Monday.

Snyder, 55, led the Jazz to six playoff appearances, including a berth in the Western Conference Finals in 2021.

However, the Jazz have not won a playoff series since 2018, and they were eliminated in the first round by the Dallas Mavericks this past season.

Kerr, 56, has been the head coach of the Golden State Warriors since 2014.

He has led the Warriors to four NBA championships, including two in the past three seasons.

Kerr is considered one of the best coaches in the NBA, and he is expected to bring a winning culture to the Jazz.

The Jazz are hoping that Kerr can help them take the next step and contend for an NBA championship.
