Tomoyuki Tanaka, President of FPM
The Association for Demand Side Management
Tomoyuki Tanaka has been appointed as the new president of the Association for Demand-Side Management (FPM). He will assume his new role on April 1, 2023.
Tanaka has been a member of FPM's board of directors since 2019. He is also the chairman and CEO of TEPCO Power Grid, Inc., a major Japanese electric utility company.
Tanaka said that he is "honored" to have been appointed as FPM's president. He said that he is "committed to working with FPM's members to promote demand-side management (DSM) as a key strategy for achieving a sustainable and resilient energy future."
DSM is a set of strategies and technologies that can be used to reduce the demand for electricity. DSM programs typically involve providing incentives to customers to use energy-efficient appliances and equipment, or to shift their energy use to off-peak hours.
FPM is a non-profit organization that promotes the development and implementation of DSM programs. FPM's members include electric utilities, energy service companies, and other organizations that are involved in DSM.
