The main results of the 16th round

The main surprise of the 16th round of the First League was the defeat of the leader of the championship, Sochi, in Ulyanovsk. The hosts won with a score of 2:1. SKA-Khabarovsk also won a major victory, beating Krasnodar-2 with a score of 6:1. Shinnik strengthened its position in the top three, beating Veles with a score of 2:0, and Volgar climbed to the fifth line, beating Aktobe with a score of 3:1.

Matches of the leading group

The match in Ulyanovsk became central in the 16th round. At the start of the meeting, the hosts opened the scoring, but the favorite quickly restored the status quo. However, the hosts managed to snatch the victory in the second half, scoring the winning goal in the 78th minute.

"Baltika" also had to make a comeback in the match with "Neftekhimik". The guests led twice in the score, but the hosts managed to equalize each time. In the end, Baltika managed to snatch the victory thanks to a goal scored in the 81st minute.

SKA-Khabarovsk did not experience any problems in the match with Krasnodar-2. The hosts scored six unanswered goals and strengthened their position in the top six. Shinnik and Volgar also won their matches and remain in the leading group.

Outsiders' matches

In the other matches of the 16th round, outsider victories were recorded. Vladivostok beat Yenisei with a score of 2:0, and Irtysh beat Tekstilshchik with a score of 3:1.

The victory allowed Vladivostok to leave the relegation zone, and Irtysh came close to the saving 15th place. Tekstilshchik and Yenisei remain among the outsiders of the championship.
