Six Players Elect Free Agency
The NBA offseason is officially underway, and several players have already decided to test the free agent market.
On Wednesday, June 30, the following six players declined their player options and became unrestricted free agents:
- Dejounte Murray (San Antonio Spurs)
- Zach LaVine (Chicago Bulls)
- Darius Garland (Cleveland Cavaliers)
- Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers)
- Franz Wagner (Orlando Magic)
- Anthony Davis (Los Angeles Lakers)
These players are all talented young stars, and they will be highly sought-after by teams around the league. Murray is a two-time All-Star point guard, LaVine is a two-time All-Star shooting guard, and Garland is a rising star point guard.
Haliburton is a rising star point guard, Wagner is a talented wing, and Davis is one of the best big men in the league.
It will be interesting to see where these players end up, and they could all have a major impact on the NBA landscape next season.
The free agency period officially begins on Thursday, June 30, and teams will have until August 2 to sign players.
