Zhapova’s Rise to Success
Zhapova, 18, has been playing chess since the age of 6. Her talent and dedication to the game quickly made her a rising star in the Russian chess scene.
She has won numerous youth tournaments, including the European Youth Championship and the World Junior Championship. Her victory at the Russian Championship is her first major title at the senior level.
