Poland Midfielder Set To Start For Inter Milan Vs Empoli As Albania Star Not Fit Yet
Inter Milan to Field Poland Star in Place of Injured Albania Midfielder
Inter Milan are set to start Poland international Krzysztof Piatek in their Serie A clash with Empoli on Saturday, as Albania star Kristjan Asllani remains sidelined through injury. Piatek has been in impressive form for Inter since joining from Hertha Berlin in January, scoring three goals in his first four appearances for the club.
Asllani Misses Out
Asllani, meanwhile, has been struggling with a thigh injury and has not featured for Inter since the end of February. The 20-year-old has been one of Inter's most impressive performers this season, and his absence will be a blow to the team's chances of securing a top-four finish.
Inter are currently third in Serie A, two points behind AC Milan and four points clear of Atalanta. A win against Empoli would see them move level on points with Milan, who face a tough trip to Juventus on Sunday.
