Paris Masters Preview and Tip: Back Thompson to send Ruud packing at 2.28
Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas return to action
The penultimate Masters 1000 event of the season is upon us, with the Paris Masters set to get underway on Monday.
Novak Djokovic will be bidding for a record-equalling seventh title at the tournament, while reigning champion Stefanos Tsitsipas will also be in action.
There are plenty of other big names in the draw, including Rafael Nadal, Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz.
Brit Kyle Edmund handed wildcard
Kyle Edmund's year has been ravaged by a knee injury, but the British No.3 has been handed a wildcard for the Paris Masters.
Edmund has not played since the US Open, where he lost in the first round to Jack Sock.
The 27-year-old will be hoping to use the tournament as a springboard for a strong finish to the season.
Thompson the man to back against Ruud
Jordan Thompson has been in excellent form in recent weeks, and the Australian looks a good bet to send Casper Ruud packing in the first round of the Paris Masters.
Thompson has won his last three matches, including a victory over world No. 11 Hubert Hurkacz.
Ruud, meanwhile, has not played since losing to Alcaraz in the quarter-finals of the Swiss Indoors.
