Hertha BSC, 1. FC Heidenheim set for DFB-Pokal clash
Hertha BSC will welcome 1. FC Heidenheim to the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Friday for a DFB-Pokal second-round match.
Hertha advanced to the second round with a 2-1 victory over Eintracht Braunschweig, while Heidenheim defeated Astoria Walldorf 3-2.
Hertha are currently 15th in the Bundesliga, while Heidenheim are 10th in the 2. Bundesliga.
The two teams have met twice before in competitive matches, with Hertha winning both encounters. The most recent meeting was in the 2017-18 DFB-Pokal, with Hertha winning 2-0.
Hertha will be looking to build on their recent form, which has seen them win three of their last five matches in all competitions. Heidenheim, meanwhile, will be looking to cause an upset and reach the third round of the DFB-Pokal for the first time since 2019.
The match will be played at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Friday, October 28, at 18:30 CEST.
