Stephen Curry Breaks Records As The Golden State Warriors Defeat The New Orleans Pelicans
Warriors Extend Win Streak, Curry Makes History
The Golden State Warriors extended their winning streak to five games with a 128-120 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night. Stephen Curry led the way for the Warriors with 30 points, while Zion Williamson led the Pelicans with 26.
Curry also made history in the game, becoming the first player in NBA history to make 3,000 three-pointers. He hit the milestone three-pointer with 4:22 remaining in the third quarter.
Pelicans Unable to Keep Pace with Warriors
The Pelicans kept pace with the Warriors for much of the game, but they were unable to keep up in the fourth quarter. The Warriors outscored the Pelicans 31-16 in the final period.
The Pelicans were led by Williamson, who had 26 points and 10 rebounds. Brandon Ingram added 21 points, and CJ McCollum added 19.
Curry Continues To Impress
Curry has been on a tear lately, and he showed no signs of slowing down against the Pelicans. He finished the game 10-of-24 from the field, including 6-of-15 from three-point range.
Curry's performance was even more impressive considering that he was playing on a minutes restriction. He played just 30 minutes in the game, as the Warriors are trying to manage his workload.
Warriors Win Streak Continues
The Warriors' win streak is now at five games, and they have won 11 of their last 12.
The Warriors are now 20-22 on the season, and they are in eighth place in the Western Conference.
