General Hospital actor Chad Duell, who portrays Michael Corinthos on the soap opera, is taking a temporary leave of absence from the show.

Duell's last airdate was on August 19, 2022, and he is expected to return in the fall.

In Duell's absence, Robert Adamson will once again step in as Michael Corinthos.

Adamson previously filled in for Duell in 2021 when the actor was out on paternity leave.

Adamson first appeared on General Hospital in 2021 as a temporary replacement for Duell.

He quickly became a fan favorite, and many viewers praised his portrayal of Michael.

It is currently unknown when Duell will return to General Hospital.

However, it is expected that he will be back sometime in the fall.

In addition to Duell's departure, there have been several other recent comings and goings on General Hospital.

These include the arrivals of Amanda Setton as Brook Lynn Quartermaine and Steve Burton as Jason Morgan.
