1. Burnley to beat Crawley
The Clarets will fancy their chances of beating the League Two outfit despite making nine alterations to their starting XI. Four of those changes see the return of England internationals Nick Pope, James Tarkowski, Connor Roberts and Dwight McNeil. Vincent Kompany will be hoping for a fast start from his team to avoid any chance of an upset.
2. Fulham to beat Birmingham
Like Burnley, Marco Silva has made plenty of changes to his Fulham team, with just four players keeping their places. Aleksandar Mitrovic is rested but Manor Solomon is handed a full debut, while Joao Palhinha should provide some much-needed quality in the middle of the park. Birmingham have lost four of their last six away games and Fulham should have too much for them.
3. Manchester City to beat Liverpool
The first huge game of the season sees Liverpool make the short trip to the Etihad to take on last season’s Premier League champions. Jurgen Klopp will be looking for a response from his players after their poor start to the league campaign which has seen them win just two of their opening six matches. City have made a flying start under Pep Guardiola, winning five of their six games, and they will be confident of beating Liverpool, who have injury problems in defence and are without the suspended Darwin Nunez.
4. Bournemouth to beat Norwich
Gary O’Neil has made just two changes to the Bournemouth team that beat Wolves at the weekend. He will want his team to continue their momentum and they should be too strong for a Norwich team that has not won any of their last five matches. Kieffer Moore and Dominic Solanke will lead the line for the Cherries and both players will fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet.
