Five free agent bats that could fit into the Rangers' 2025 budget

Andrew Benintendi

Andrew Benintendi has a solid on-base percentage and has some pop in his bat. He has four seasons with an on-base percentage over .350 and an OPS over .800 and had 17 homers this year as well as 51 RBIs. He also offers solid defense in the outfield.

Mitch Haniger

Mitch Haniger is a powerful bat that missed almost all of this season due to injury. In 2021, he put up an OPS of .889 with 39 homers. He will come at a cost but could be worth it if he can stay on the field.

Nelson Cruz

Nelson Cruz is 42 but can still swing the bat. He had an OPS of .795 this year with 22 homers and 85 RBIs. He won't be cheap but could still be a middle-of-the-order bat capable of putting up 30-plus homers in Arlington.

David Peralta

David Peralta is a quality hitter with some pop in his bat. He had an on-base percentage over .350 in 2022 and had an OPS over .800. He also has good speed and can play the outfield or first base.

Jurickson Profar

Jurickson Profar is a Swiss Army knife. He can play all over the field including pitcher and has a solid bat. He won't put up huge numbers but brings a lot of value to a club.
