Conte: 'Napoli not hiding from Scudetto ambitions'
High-flying Napoli not 'hiding' from title talk, says Conte
Napoli are making no secret of their Serie A title ambitions this season, according to manager Antonio Conte.
The Partenopei have made a blistering start to the campaign, winning eight of their opening 10 matches to sit four points clear at the top of the table.
Conte, who guided Juventus to three successive Serie A titles before leaving the club in 2014, believes that Napoli have the quality to challenge for the Scudetto this season.
"Napoli are a very strong team," Conte said. "They have a lot of quality players and they are very well-organised. They are not hiding from their ambitions. They want to win the Scudetto and they are doing everything they can to achieve that goal."
Napoli's impressive start to the season has been built on a solid defence. They have conceded just four goals in their opening 10 matches, the best defensive record in Serie A.
Conte believes that Napoli's defensive strength is one of the main reasons why they are challenging for the title.
"Napoli have a very good defence," Conte said. "They are very well-organised and they are very difficult to break down. They are also very good at counter-attacking, so they can be very dangerous going forward."
Napoli will be looking to continue their impressive start to the season when they travel to face Atalanta on Sunday. Atalanta are another team who have made a strong start to the campaign, and they will be looking to close the gap on Napoli at the top of the table.
Conte believes that the match against Atalanta will be a tough test for Napoli, but he is confident that his team can get a result.
