🎥 Columbus Crew's MLS Cup defence off to rocky start at home
The Columbus Crew's hopes of retaining their MLS Cup title got off to a rocky start on Saturday, as they fell 2-1 at home to the CF Montreal.
The Crew, who won their second MLS Cup in December, were looking to make a statement in their first home game of the season. However, they were unable to overcome a strong Montreal side, who took the lead in the first half through Romell Quioto.
Despite Columbus equalizing through Gyasi Zardes in the second half, Montreal regained the lead through Kei Kamara just minutes later. The Crew pushed for an equalizer in the closing stages, but were unable to find a way through Montreal's defence.
The loss is a disappointing start to the season for the Crew, who will be hoping to bounce back when they travel to face the New England Revolution next weekend.
