Buddy moved to the United States to attend Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kansas at 16. He then went on to play college basketball for the Oklahoma Sooners. During his time at Oklahoma, he won the Big 12 Player of the Year and was a consensus All-American. In 2016, Buddy was drafted by the New Orleans Pelicans with the 6th overall pick. He was then traded to the Sacramento Kings in 2017. In 2022, he was traded to the Indiana Pacers. Then in 2023, he was traded to the Golden State Warriors. Buddy has become one of the most prolific scorers in the NBA. He is a gifted shooter with a quick release and a high basketball IQ. He is also a versatile defender who can guard multiple positions. Off the court, Buddy is a dedicated philanthropist. He started the Buddy Hield Foundation, which supports underprivileged youth in the Bahamas and the United States. He is also an active participant in the NBA's Basketball Without Borders program. Buddy Hield is a role model for young people everywhere. He shows that anything is possible if you set your mind to it. He is an inspiration to us all.
