Stuttgart and Freiburg Keep Bundesliga Survival Hopes Alive

3:45 PM ET Borussia Dortmund and VfL Wolfsburg advanced to the semifinals of the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday, while VfB Stuttgart and SC Freiburg kept their Bundesliga survival hopes alive with victories. Dortmund came from behind to beat Union Berlin 3-2 thanks to a goal from Jude Bellingham in the 88th minute. Wolfsburg also needed a late goal to see off Freiburg 2-1, with Jonas Wind scoring in the 82nd minute. In the Bundesliga, Stuttgart moved out of the relegation zone with a 3-0 win over Augsburg. Tiago Tomas, Luca Pfeiffer, and Omar Marmoush scored the goals for Stuttgart. Freiburg also moved out of the bottom three with a 2-1 win over Schalke. Nils Petersen and Michael Gregoritsch scored for Freiburg, while Simon Terodde scored a consolation goal for Schalke. The results leave Stuttgart 15th in the table, one point above the relegation zone, while Freiburg is 13th, three points above the bottom three.
