Early Life and Career

Blas Antonio Pérez Ortega, known as Blas Pérez, was born on March 13, 1981, in Panama City, Panama. He started his professional football career in 1999 with Árabe Unido in the Panamanian Football League (LPF).

Pérez quickly established himself as a talented striker, scoring 44 goals in 64 appearances for Árabe Unido. His impressive performances earned him a move to the Colombian club Independiente Medellín in 2002.

International Career

Pérez made his international debut for the Panama national team in 2001. He went on to represent his country in 115 matches, scoring 43 goals, making him Panama's all-time top goalscorer.

Pérez played a pivotal role in Panama's qualification for their first FIFA World Cup in 2018. He scored the winning goal in the second leg of the play-off against Costa Rica, sending Panama to the tournament.

Club Career in Mexico

In 2007, Pérez joined Mexican club Pachuca. He spent three successful seasons with Pachuca, winning the CONCACAF Champions League in 2007 and the Liga MX championship in 2008.

Pérez's impressive performances in Mexico led to a move to Club León in 2010. He continued to score goals for León, helping the team reach the 2013 Apertura final.
